Breakfast In His Word is a radio program designed to education, encourage, and exhort the believer to move beyond their initial acceptance of Christ. It is designed to educate, encourage, and empower the people of God as they start their day. The program has a two-fold design, which the second design is to promote Educational advancement for High School Seniors and College Freshmen with specific learning disabilities through public and private donations.
Chosen For His Purpose Scholarship
Deadline: July 20, 2014
The Chosen For His Purpose Scholarship is a one-time $1,000 scholarship granted to a graduating high school senior or First Year Student with one of the below documented learning disabilities who will be enrolled in a full-time degree or technical program from an accredited college in the fall of 2014. Funds awarded will be paid directly to the school and credited to the student’s account. Funds are to be used toward the following: Textbooks, Room & Board or attending Tuition.
The ideal student is one who:
•Who has a clear understanding of self-reliance •Is committed to completing a college degree or technical program and realistic career goals •Demonstrates academic achievements consistent with college and career goals •Able to serve as a role model and spokesperson for others who struggle with LD
To be eligible for the 2014 Chosen For His Purpose Scholarship, an applicant must:
1.Be a United States citizen 2.Be a graduating high school senior or First Year Student who will be attending an accredited College and will enroll in a degree or technical program in the fall of 2014 3.Have an overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher on a 4-point scale (or equivalent) 4.Demonstrate financial need 5.Provide most current documentation of an identified learning disability 6.ADHD students must provide documentation of a specific learning disability as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder alone is not considered to be a learning disability
Qualifying Learning Disabilities
•ADHD-must have documented specific learning disability •Dyslexia •Autism •Dyspraxia
Requirements to apply include:
•Application form •Personal statement (Written or by Video, as to •why you deserve this scholarship) •High school transcript •Three letters of recommendation •Financial statement •Standardized test scores •Proof of Learning Disability •Valid Independent Education Plan (IEP) •Copy of College acceptance letter
Note: A recipient cannot be awarded this award a second time.
